I miss my Oma, so very. My incredible grandmother had just passed away in the age of 81, on September 2nd, 2007. Her house is behind mine, therefore I really miss her.
She is a superwoman. Independent. Caring. Loving. And all that I can never write down here one by one. She witnessed Indonesia’s Proclamation Day and studied in FKUI even though her mother raised her alone. Oma married her first love, my grandfather, and still loved him until her last breath. They are the perfect (and the sweetest) couple for me. Both of them are my inspirators.
Many people came and showed some condolence. Thanks for that. Especially for the ones who accompanied my late grandmother to her last rest, including my colleagues, my friends, Bedah Plastik FKUI RSCM, Mr. Jero Wacik (Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism) and Mr. Agung Laksono (Head of DPR RI). Thank you so, so much.
I promised her that I will make her proud.
I love you so much, and happy birthday, Oma. :’)
