I had just got home from the premiere of “Chants of Lotus” (a.k.a. “Lotus Requiem”). Yesterday, there were 2 persons who invited me to attend 2 different screenings. A friend named Idenk invited me to watch “Across The Universe” in Djakarta Theatre at 9 AM while my auntie Sonya asked me to accompany her to the premiere of “Chants of Lotus” at 10.30 AM. I decided to please my auntie and uncle because I had to go to “pick-up” my report book (nice grades, btw ;p).

So I took TransJakarta from school, got off on Tosari and then walked on foot straight to Blitz Megaplex. And when I arrived at the venue… Oh my God! It was not just another movie screening. It was the official premiere of “Chants of Lotus”. I met Nia Dinata (director), Rima Melati, Ira Duaty, Ira Duaty, Rachel Maryam & fam, Susan Bachtiar, Rieke Dyah Pitaloka, Shanty, Kirana Larasati, Indy Barends, countless important and famous people on the scene… So many women there? Yes, it was the celebration of Mother’s Day (Happy Mother’s Day, dear Mommy!).

I’m not going to write about the movie, because this is a blog-post, not another movie review : ) Maybe I’ll write about it later… After the movie screening, we were invited to dine in Warung Kopi, Alun-alun Indonesia. Woo hoo, what a wonderful day! :)
